How to recognise it

A white sign with a black letter P inside a green circle, the time limit and hours below it, and arrows showing which side of the sign it covers.

Where you will see it

Downtown streets with time-limited parking, and streets where daytime parking is allowed but overnight parking is not.

What to do when you see it

  1. 1.You may park between the signs during the times posted.
  2. 2.Check the limit, such as a maximum number of hours, and the days it applies.
  3. 3.Outside the posted times the street's usual rules apply.

On the G1 test

Green circle means permitted, red circle means prohibited. A P in a green ring means parking is allowed as posted; the same P in a red ring with a slash means the opposite.
