How to recognise it
A white walking figure lit on the pedestrian signal head.
Where you will see it
Signalized intersections, and intersection pedestrian signals that stop traffic on a busy main road.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Pedestrians may cross in the direction of the signal, and have the right-of-way over all vehicles while crossing.
- 2.Drivers turning across the crosswalk must wait for them.
- 3.Where there is a push-button, pedestrians must press it to bring on the walk signal.
On the G1 test
The walk symbol is a white walking person, and while crossing pedestrians have the right-of-way over all vehicles. Where there are no pedestrian signals, pedestrians facing a green light may cross, but not on a flashing green or a left-turn arrow.
