Summarised from the Official MTO Driver’s Handbook. Read the original: MTO Driver’s Handbook – Signs ↗

How to recognise it

A blue square with white symbols for services: a fuel pump, a knife and fork, a bed.

Where you will see it

Before freeway exits, rest areas and service centres, and at the edge of towns along a highway.

What to do when you see it

  1. 1.Take the exit if you need fuel, food or a place to stay.
  2. 2.On a freeway, decide early: the exit comes soon after the sign.

On the G1 test

The handbook says signs in colours other than green guide you to facilities, services and attractions. Blue is services; a question may simply ask what the colour means.
